Jennifer K. Thompson is the executive director of the Center for the Study of Liberty, a non-profit devoted to supporting and enhancing the work of other non-profits, professionals, and academics within the liberty movement. She was previously senior director of educational programs at the Institute for Humane Studies and, prior to that, vice president of co-sponsored programs at Liberty Fund, Inc. As founding director of Liberty Fund’s Co-Sponsored Program, she oversaw growth from an initial annual schedule of 20 conferences with four institutions to more than 85 conferences with 14 institutions including the Acton Institute, the Cato Institute, The Federalist Society, The Fund for American Studies, Students for Liberty, and the Universidad Francisco Marroquín. She has previously taught at Northwestern University (Center for Talent Development) and Vanderbilt University. She holds a Ph.D. and a M.A. in philosophy from Vanderbilt, and a B.A. in philosophy and a B.S. in economics from the University of Tulsa. She is a graduate of the Education for Ministry program at Sewanee: The University of the South.
