Luis E. Loría is president of Strategic Advantage Consulting Group, president of the Institute for Business Development and Social Action, associate researcher for the High Technology Advisory Commission Foundation and associate of the Academy of Central America. Luis is a doctoral candidate, as Fulbright-LASPAU (Faculty Development Program, 1999 – 2001), in economics, technology and business strategy at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds a master’s in entrepreneurial economics from INCAE Business School in Costa Rica. He is a graduate of the IPADE Business School Senior Management Program (AD-2) and the Think Tank MBA from Atlas Network. Over the past 20 years, Luis’ consulting and research work has focused on public policy issues related to economics, business, investment promotion, foreign trade, social responsibility, competitiveness and innovation in Latin America. He has advised presidents, ministers and leaders of the public sector, private sector, nongovernmental organizations and multilateral organizations. He has written hundreds of press articles, as well as several case studies and magazine articles. Currently, he participates in forums and debates as an economic and political analyst.
