Mateusz Benedyk has been involved in Mises Institute of Economic Education since 2008, when he read the Polish translation of Human Action by Ludwig von Mises published by the Institute and just wanted to meet people who made this wonderful book available for Polish students. Since then he has been mostly busy developing the content of the Institute’s website. Since March 2014, he has been serving as the president of the Institute.

Mateusz received M.A. in economics from the Wrocław University of Economics and M.A. in history from the University of Wrocław. He also had a chance to develop his economic knowledge at seminars organized by Foundation for Economic Education and Mises Institute.

Apart from being the Institute’s president, Mateusz writes columns about public policy (mostly banking and monetary policy) along Misesian and Hayekian lines. He has also lectured about economic theory at the events of other Polish Atlas Network partners, such as KoLiber Association and Freedom and Entrepreneurship Foundation.
