Pilirani Banda currently serves as the programs director at the Center for Free Market Enterprise. He previously worked as a director of administration and outreach at Students for Liberty Malawi. While in college, he was a member of African Liberty Students. Pilirani is a graduate of Atlas Leadership Academy and has attended several online and onsite trainings, including Think Tank Startup Training in Accra, Ghana. Moreover, he has attended liberty trainings with Students for Liberty and the Network for a Free Society. In 2015, he attended a leadership training at Yale University in the United States. Pilirani enthusiastically works to advance libertarian ideas both in Malawi and in Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in population studies and demographics from the University of Malawi. He is also the 2016 Smith Student Outreach Award winner.
