Do the policy changes that you and your organization want to achieve seem out of reach or politically impossible? With the right approach and planning, it's possible to change the climate of ideas and make it possible to achieve major political change.

The Egyptian Center for Public Policy Studies (ECPPS) was awarded the prestigious Templeton Freedom Award in 2018 for shifting the realm of political possibility in Egypt. Just a few years ago, Egypt scored poorly in budget transparency, citizen engagement in the budget-making process and 1/3 of government expenditures were costly energy subsidies. Today, thanks to ECPPS, Egyptian citizens are able to participate in the budget-making process for the first time and Egypt's budget is being reformed to allow for a better economic environment. The Egyptian government has also announced that after 2019, they will cut all energy subsidies from the budget. By using the concept of the Overton Window to change the political climate, ECPPS has helped create a better government for Egyptians.

In this webinar on February 14 at 10:00 AM EST, Mahmoud Farouk will be discussing the lessons he learned at ECPPS and how they were able to make what was once impossible inevitable. He'll also share how it's possible for your organization to use the concept of the Overton Window to accomplish tangible change.
