Did you know that prior to July 1, it was illegal for Virginia restaurants to advertise happy-hour drink specials? Thanks to Pacific Legal Foundation litigation, this law has been repealed!

On July 1st, a new law will take effect in Virginia, repealing the state’s long-standing prohibition on advertising for happy-hour drink specials. This comes in response to Pacific Legal Foundation’s First Amendment lawsuit arguing that government can’t censor truthful, non-misleading information just because it thinks censorship might be in the public’s interest.

A limited, but plentiful number of drink tickets will be provided to those who have registered.

This is a free event. Make sure you RSVP on Eventbrite.
