Dr. Pierre Garello, President of IES-Europe and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal des Économistes et des Études Humaines, Pierre Garello is Professor of Economics at the “Faculté d’Economie et Gestion” of Aix Marseille University in France. He has published various articles on Austrian economics, law and economics (especially competition law and contract law). He is the editor-in-chief of the “Journal des Économistes et des Études Humaines”, a scholarly review dealing with economic, legal, philosophical and political issues, in the tradition of the French Classical Liberal School. He is also at the center of a liberal network in Europe and is the coordinator of the European liberal think tanks Resource Bank. He is directing research for IREF, a think tank that promotes tax competition and sound public finances.

Dr. Christopher Lingle is a Visiting Professor of Economics at Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala, Adjunct Scholar at the Centre for Independent Studies (Sydney), Research Scholar at the Centre for Civil Society (New Delhi), and Member of the Academic Advisory Council of the Globalization Institute (Brussels). His research interests are in the areas of Political Economy and International Economics with a focus on emerging market economies and public policy reform in Europe, East Asia, Latin America and Southern Africa. He earned a doctorate in economics from the University of Georgia in 1977.

Dr. Carlo Lottieri, Istituto Bruno Leoni, University of Siena, Italy; Dr. Carlo Lottieri is an Italian free-market philosopher. He is Professor of Philosophy of Law at the University of Siena. He is the director of the Political Theory department of the Bruno Leoni Institute, a libertarian think-tank based in Turin and Adjunct Faculty member of the Ludwig von Mises Institute.

Dr. Youcef Maouchi, originally from Algeria, Youcef Maouchi is the Executive director of the Institute for Economic Studies-Europe. He holds a PhD in economics from Aix-Marseille Université, France. Committed to advancing individual freedom, tolerance, the Rule of Law, and free speech in the Muslim world he regularly speaks and organizes conferences and seminars on the link between Islamic law, liberty and development. His research interests are Islamic contracts law, Islamic finance and economic analysis of law. From 2013 to 2015 he was a teaching and a research fellow and Aix Marseille Université. He was also a regular lecturer on Islamic Finance at the Legal and Commercial Cooperation with the Arab World program at the Aix-Marseille Law School and in economics at the Kedge Business School. He also worked as a research assistant for Atlas Network’s francophone project
