Atlas Network Trendsetters presents Armando Regil of Mexico City to discuss the trends in Mexico.  Armando will highlight the trends of establishing rule of law and a strong legal system; fighting for transparency in government; and empowering young leaders to become Mexico's freedom champions. 

The program will run from 7:00-7:45pm, and you are invited to enjoy the open bar and hors d'oeuvres with Armando both before and after the program.

SPEAKERS

Armando Regil Velasco is the Founding President of the IPEA, Institute of Strategic Thinking Agora, a think-tank of young people in Mexico that generates private solutions to public problems and public policies to ensure that Mexico becomes free, united and prosperous. Armando participated in the 16th and 17th Roundtable with the Government of Mexico organized by the Economist. In Washington DC, he worked at the Center for Global Liberty and Prosperity, and at the Cato Institute. Armando has given lectures for more than 10,000 spectators in the U.S. and Latin America. 

In 2006, Armando published his book on entrepreneurs: You Are the Answer, featuring 42 leaders including former presidents, ministers, businessmen and academics from 21 countries. Armando has represented Mexico in international summits, including the Global Meeting of the Emerging Markets Forum in Virginia, the Summit APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) in Mexico, Santiago de Chile, and Hanoi Vietnam. In 2009, Armando was invited to be a member of Future Leaders Club of the journal Mexican leaders. He participated as the youngest speaker in TEDxDF 2010 in Mexico. American Express selected him as one of the 10 "potentialists" in Mexico 2010: the generation that is moving the world. He has appreared in a number of magazines including Travesías, Gatopardo, and Alto Nivel. Armando also works as a columnist for the magazine Expansion.

Armando graduated in International Trade with honors from the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Querétaro. He studied Economics and Public Policy at Georgetown University and his training includes a number of seminars and courses at Acton University (Michigan), Leadership Institute (Virginia), Universidad Francisco Marroquin (Guatemala), University of International Business and Economics (Beijing), Think Tank MBA (Atlas Network), and the School of Economics and Business Administration ESEADE (Buenos Aires).
