Atlas Network President Alejandro (Alex) Chafuen was recently announced as one of four recipients of the Jack Kennedy Memorial Alumni Achievement Award (JKMAAA). This annual award is presented to alumni of Grove City College who have achieved distinctive success in their fields, and is typically given to those who show an extraordinary commitment to bettering the world.

Chafuen studied at Grove City College for his doctoral work, where he wrote his dissertation, “Faith and Liberty,” on Christian roots of the free market economy. He is currently on the board of trustees at Grove City College.

Now in its 53rd year, this 2017 award also goes to Richard G. Jewell, former president of Grove City College; Dr. Angelo J. Mariotti, a professor at The Ohio State University; and Capt. Ronald E. Yeaw, a retired U.S. Navy Captain within the Naval Special Warfare Community. The award will be distributed during Homecoming Weekend at Grove City College, from Oct. 6-8, 2017.
