To debate pressing topics in Brazilian public policy with a new perspective, Atlas Network partner Instituto de Estudos Empresariais created the Fórum da Liberdade in 1988. Over 25 years later it is now the largest debate forum in Latin America, with over five thousand people attending this year’s annual event, held in Porto Alegre April 7 and 8.

The event included the presentation of the Prêmio Libertas (Libertas Prize) to Gustavo Franco, former president of the Central Bank of Brazil. Prêmio Libertas recognizes entrepreneurs who have stood out in their work to advance the principles of free markets and respect for the Rule of Law. Read more about the event here.
