Pledges
Donors who wish to make a contribution, but do not wish to make an immediate payment, may instead make a pledge, which is a promise to make a specified gift within the fiscal year (January 1-December 31). Pledges can be made by mail or by contacting Kameron Griffin at 703-717-6491 and can be paid in installments throughout the fiscal year.
Gifts of Appreciated Stock
Gifts of stock securities can be donated to Atlas Network and may be deducted as charitable contributions for the average fair market value on the date of transfer. When donating appreciated stock that you’ve held for at least one year, you don’t have to pay capital gains tax on the appreciation, and can also deduct the average fair market value of the stock on the date of transfer.
