Thomas Beach and Jean-Claude Gruffat join Atlas Network board of directors

Atlas Network is excited to announce that Thomas Beach and Jean-Claude Gruffat have joined its board.

A Managing Director of Beach Investment Counsel, Inc., Mr. Beach began his career in 1964 as an investment research analyst and then held various portfolio management and executive positions at a major institutional investment management firm. In 1996, he formed Beach Investment Counsel, Inc., an SEC-registered investment adviser, to manage the financial assets of families and foundations. He received a BA in economics with honors from the University of Michigan in 1962 and an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1964. Mr. Beach currently serves as a director/trustee at Reason Foundation, Commonwealth Foundation, Snider Foundation, Dunn Foundation, Donors Trust, and Pennsylvania Lumberman’s Mutual Insurance Company. He previously served as Chairman of both Reason Foundation and Property and Environment Research Center, and as a board member of Eisenhower Fellowships, The Haverford School, Philadelphia Youth Tennis, Laurentian Capital, and the International Lawn Tennis Club.

Jean-Claude Gruffat is Managing Director of Weild & Co. in New York. Previously, he was a Managing Director with Galileo Global Advisors and Citigroup, both also in New York. Gruffat is a Governor of the American Hospital of Paris, a Director of the American Hospital of Paris Foundation, and a Founder of Institut des Libertes. Gruffat is a member of the Economic Club of New York, the Union League Club, the Hong Kong Club, Cercle de l’Union Interalliee, and a board member at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Law and a Master in Political Science from the University of Lyon, France. He attended the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in 1987.
