The Templeton Freedom Award is Atlas Network’s most prestigious honor, carrying a $150,000 prize—the largest of its kind in the freedom movement. Each year, six outstanding partners are nominated as finalists, chosen from a competitive field of organizations from around the world.
From this distinguished group, one organization is recognized sfor a transformative breakthrough that advances liberty—whether by replacing poverty with prosperity, defending human dignity, resisting authoritarianism, or changing hearts and minds.
More than recognition, the Templeton Freedom Award sets the gold standard for achievement in the freedom movement. It inspires peers to aim higher, demonstrates what is possible in every region of the world, and gives donors a clear example of how bold investments in liberty deliver extraordinary results.
The Templeton Freedom Award is generously sponsored by the Templeton Religion Trust. It reflects the vision of Sir John Templeton, a pioneering philanthropist and investor who believed that free competition and the sharing of knowledge across cultures could improve life for all humanity.
