
Karin Svanborg-Sjovall

Karin Svanborg-Sjövall is the president of Timbro, Scandinavia’s biggest, pro-market think tank. She is a policy expert, journalist and author who have wide experience of public sector reform across Europe. Before she began working for Timbro as Director of welfare policy in 2011, she served as a political advisor and chief of staff to the Minister of higher education and research (liberal). In 2011 she published her first book – Kentucky Fried Children: om den svenska valfrihetens historia och dess fiender (The history of citizens choice in the Swedish welfare state – and its enemies). A year later her work was published in a revised English edition, called Private Choice in the Public Sector- The New Swedish Model.
