Michael is a Founding Partner of Thorberg Collectorate, Inc., where he currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. Thorberg is a private equity firm focused on geographically agnostic growth capital and impact investing. He is also a founding partner in Knightsbridge Partners and its real-estate subsidiary, Cowboy Holdco, developing a $142mm multi-modal airpark in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and establishing a customs facility in rural America. There, Michael is a shareholder on the Board of Directors of WP Global, the developer and operator of the Global Transportation & Industrial Park (GTIP).
Following a decade in the non-profit industry - as President of the free-market think tank, Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs, to co-founder and CEO of both The Liberty Foundation of America and the E Foundation of Oklahoma, as the founding Corporate Secretary of The Oklahoma Partnership Project, and finally serving as the CEO of Salt and Light Leadership Training (SALLT) – Michael moved to “the other side of the table” to advance the liberty movement from a donor perspective and as an entrepreneur/investor creating jobs and opportunities in communities historically reliant on government.
Michael Carnuccio's career has been marked by his ability to work with diverse leaders, from large corporations to small business owners and entrepreneurs, helping them launch their dream endeavors. His commitment to developing leaders is unwavering, and he constantly evolves and creates objectives specific to fostering a high-functioning team. In this role, he serves as both Strategic Advisor to the CEO and Lead Consultant for the Atlas Network, based in Arlington, VA., that partners with almost 500 think tanks in over 100 countries that drive change in ideas, culture, and policy; removing barriers to opportunities; and empowering individuals to live a life of choice.
In 2015, Michael and his wife, Kayla, founded the JTK Group, a strategic leadership firm specializing in capital generation, asset growth, and team management. In 2019, they launched the sister company, JTK Development, LLC. The companies are named for their three children: Joseph, Thomas, and Kathryn.
In late 2019, Michael facilitated the formation of HopeCulture.US, a minority-majority owned, entertainment-based merchandise company and the first B-Corporation in Oklahoma, where 50% of net profits go toward impact investments and charitable contributions in Northeast Oklahoma City, to eradicate poverty through opportunity. In November 2022, Michael formed a partnership to purchase and develop 9.93 acres of undeveloped land in Yukon, OK. As the managing partner of Yukon Corner Land (YCL), now Patriot Land Company (PLC), Michael is currently facilitating the development of NBA players and celebrity investors from Oklahoma.
Michael Carnuccio is expanding on his decades of relationships in Europe as the Trade Attache for the State of Oklahoma Department of Commerce. In this role, he facilitates trade and investment partnerships in Europe through the Global Opportunities Oklahoma (GO Oklahoma) program to help expand the $5.5 billion in total exports from more than 2,989 Oklahoma exporters; he has extensive experience building connections with Europe and fostering business growth.
Additionally, Michael serves on the Boards of the Oklahoma City Dodgers Foundation, the Urban Bridge Impact Center, Project 19, and The Fairness Center in Harrisburg, PA.
Michael’s academic journey includes a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a master’s degree in political science from Oklahoma State University, focusing on international relations.
