Description:
The EVP of Finance and Strategy is the Finance Department head, directly manages the Accounting Manager, and reports to the CEO. The Executive Vice President of Finance and Strategy is essential to Atlas Network’s ability to
steward its resources responsibly and operate with financial strength and integrity. As a trusted advisor to the CEO, executive team, and Board, this role ensures that mission-driven priorities are translated into sound planning, informed decision-making, and long-term financial stability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The EVP of Finance and Strategy is responsible for the following:
● Lead and optimize all accounting systems (including Intacct), reporting, dashboards, and data integrity; partner with IT as needed.
● Direct the annual budget, forecasting, and long-range financial planning; advise leadership on resources, priorities, and risk.
● Prepare monthly internal and biannual Board financial reports, including core financial statements and variance analysis.
● Serve as a strategic finance partner to program, department, and executive leaders; respond to ad hoc financial requests and promote strong financial stewardship.
● Ensure GAAP compliance through effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
● Provide strategic leadership for the Finance Department, including annual operating plans, systems, and staff development.
● Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and as a liaison to the Board and the Finance Committee.
● Manage banking relationships and oversee investment monitoring and reporting.
Qualifications:
● Alignment with Atlas Network’s mission and commitment to free societies.
● At least 5 years of senior leadership experience in finance or operations (e.g., CFO, VP Finance, COO, or equivalent), preferably in a mission-driven organization
● Experience working directly with executive leadership and Boards of Directors, including preparing and presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
● Demonstrated success overseeing complex accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and audits, in compliance with GAAP.
● Strong experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a complex organization.
● Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage staff in a small or lean team environment.
● Strong analytical judgment and decision-making skills.
● Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex financial information for non-financial audiences.
● CPA or equivalent professional certification.
● Proficiency with Sage Intacct or comparable financial systems.
Salary:
The projected annual salary range for this role is $200,000-$250,000, contingent upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.

This position is located at Atlas Network headquarters in Arlington, VA. We will consider relocation assistance for an exceptional candidate.
