Longtime Atlas Network Leaders Take on New Roles in the Freedom Movement
President Matt Warner and Chief Innovation Officer Lyall Swim to assume new leadership opportunities advancing liberty and civil society.
Arlington, VA — Atlas Network is announcing that two of its senior leaders, President Matt Warner and Chief Innovation Officer Lyall Swim, will be departing their current roles to take on exciting new opportunities in the broader freedom movement.
Warner will join Philanthropy Roundtable as Chief Operating Officer, and Swim will join Stand Together as Vice President of Talent Strategies, where he will lead talent development efforts in the academic, think tank, and civil society spheres.
“This is a bittersweet moment for Atlas Network, but also a point of great pride,” said Brad Lips, Chief Executive Officer. “Matt and Lyall have each been instrumental in shaping Atlas Network’s impact and partnerships for years. We’re thrilled to see their leadership continue to strengthen the cause of liberty by promoting philanthropic freedom and the future talent pipeline of the freedom movement.”
Since joining Atlas Network in 2010, Matt Warner helped refine Atlas Network’s business strategy via its trademarked Coach, Compete, Celebrate framework, and he demonstrated how freedom movement organizations can improve living standards in poor countries more cost-effectively than other outsider-led strategies for economic development. Lyall Swim joined Atlas Network in 2018 to lead a reinvention of its core professional training program, Atlas Network Academy, and he more recently led organizational efforts to “future-ready” Atlas Network partners via programs at the frontier of innovation and technology.
“Lyall and especially Matt have been key leaders and innovators for Atlas Network,” said Montgomery Brown, Chair of Atlas Network’s Board of Directors. “We salute them for their contributions and look forward to new forms of collaboration with them in their new posts.”
Matt Warner and Lyall Swim offered the following statements:
Matt Warner: “It has been the honor of my career to serve Atlas Network and its partners around the world. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and confident the team will continue to expand the impact of this mission.”
Lyall Swim: “It has been a privilege to engage with incredible partners across the world as they champion the free society. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to help guide the reinvention of how to build capability across the freedom movement. Moving forward, I am confident Atlas Network is well-positioned to keep innovating and preparing the freedom movement for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”
Atlas Network enters this transition from a position of strength and stability, with thriving partnerships across more than 100 countries.
This week, Atlas Network hosts its Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner in New York City, the organization’s flagship annual gathering of leaders advancing freedom worldwide. The event celebrates the achievements of Atlas Network’s independent partner organizations around the world, and calls attention to the many opportunities for engagement that Atlas Network will offer in the year ahead.
Future announcements about career opportunities at Atlas Network will be posted on the Careers page of our website.
