Michael Harden serves as Chief Advancement Officer at Atlas Network, where he helps guide the organization’s fundraising and communications strategy in support of its global network of partners advancing freedom. With more than two decades of experience in public policy, politics, and nonprofit leadership, Michael has built a career focused on strengthening mission-driven organizations and expanding the reach of the freedom movement.
Before joining Atlas Network, Michael served as Vice President of Development at the John Locke Foundation in North Carolina, where he played a key role in driving revenue growth and deepening donor engagement during a period of organizational momentum. Earlier in his career, he served in the Georgia General Assembly, where he held leadership positions, including Majority Deputy Whip and Vice Chair of the Banking Committee.
Michael grew up in a small Southern town and now lives with his family in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, where they steward a small farm, enjoy a slower pace, and focus on teaching their kids the value of hard work and responsibility. He personally never passes a Waffle House without at least considering a stop. He approaches his work with a service mindset, shaped by years of leadership, entrepreneurship, and a belief that strong relationships are key to lasting impact. Grounded by faith and driven by conviction, he brings to Atlas Network a deep belief in the power of free people—and a desire to help and support those willing to risk it all in the name of freedom.
