Our Events team is responsible for planning and executing exceptional events year-round across five different continents. This team collaborates with on-site vendors, manages travel itineraries for staff and partners, and designs programming for our Regional Liberty Forums and flagship event, Liberty Forum and Freedom Dinner.
Interns on the Events team gain experiences in the following areas:
Collaborate with the event planning team to help plan and organize events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and social gatherings.
Assist in identifying and coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and service providers required for events, such as caterers, audio-visual technicians, and decorators.
Help manage event logistics, including venue selection, setup, and teardown, transportation, and accommodation arrangements.
Assist in managing guest lists, registrations, and RSVPs. Provide information and support to event attendees as needed.
Assist in creating event marketing materials, such as flyers, social media posts, and email campaigns. Monitor and engage with social media channels related to events.
Be present at events to provide on-site support, coordinate with staff, and address any issues that may arise during the event.
Maintain event files, records, and documentation, including budgets, invoices, and post-event evaluations.
Gather feedback from event attendees and team members to identify areas for improvement in future events.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, Atlas Network interns are able to participate in a variety of professional development programs. All Atlas Network interns are invited to attend the Cato Institute's intern lectures.
