Freedom at 36,000 Feet - July 2023
This is a landing page that provides links to items mentioned in the first issue of Brad Lips’ informal Freedom at 36,000 Feet newsletter.
Brazil - Here is the first issue of our Freedom’s Champion newsletter which had a cover story on the Brazilian protests that helped birth a healthier freedom movement in the country.
Jimmy Lai - Here is link to the movie, The Hong Konger, as well as my video interview of Jimmy from November 2020 and my WSJ piece that followed a few weeks later.
FreedomFest - Here is a link to our short film on Papa Coriandre, an entrepreneur who has thrived since our partner in Burundi achieved enterprise-friendly reforms.
Roxana Nicula - You’ll increasingly see partner profiles like this one on Roxana, so you can meet more of the wonderful people whose organizations you support through Atlas Network.
Policy Wins in Europe - In case you missed Chad Goote’s email to you and other Atlas Club members, here is a link to the Atlas Club Update video that I referenced in my letter..
Chile - Sebastian Edwards is a regular at an annual gathering in Mexico that is convened by my Atlas Network colleague Roberto Salinas Leon. Sebastian’s new book, The Chile Project, provides wonderful insights into the reforms that brought prosperity to Chile. Some years ago, our Atlas Network team compiled a three-part video series, including interviews of some of the main players in that important piece of economic history. See Planting the Seeds of Ideas; Remembering the Past; and Putting Policy in Place.
Liggio Lecture Book - For a full decade, we’ve had a lecture series in honor of my former colleague Leonard Liggio. My edited collection Finding New Ideas in Old Ones pulls together the results of the program. Wonderful contributions by James Ottesson, John Tomasi, Randy Barnett, and more.
Adam Smith – Tom Palmer and others contribute to Reason’s special issue on Adam Smith and his 300th birthday.
Of course, we shouldn’t create a page of links without including one where you can donate to keep our team moving forward at 100%! Thank you for keeping Atlas Network near the top of your philanthropic priorities!
