AFGHANISTAN ECONOMIC AND LEGAL STUDIES ORGANIZATION
The mission of Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization is to work on better presenting the market economy to Afghan society, in particular to individuals who are working in industries, businesses, and other academic institutions in Afghanistan. Relevant to that, AELSO works on capacity-building of individuals in economic-policy making regarding standards of market economy and improving the relevant legal basis; public awareness of people in legal standards, maintaining contact with national and international institutions pertaining to the rule of law, and legal framework development in Afghanistan; enhancing the people's level of awareness about legal issues, in particular human rights that include women's rights, children rights, and rights of persons with disabilities and victims of war; carrying out academic research in regard to economic and legal issues, including complex laws; and maintaining a close relationship with policy-making institutions, including parliament and other sectors of the government, for sharing academic analysis to improve the economic and legal situation in Afghanistan. *Major programs for this organization include: Youth and Free Society Values; Human Rights for All; Market Economy in the Mirror of Islamic Religion
