Following the Euromaidan Revolution of 2014 and Russia's invasion of Crimea later that year, Ukraine has faced a difficult road to stability and prosperity.

On Wednesday, January 10, Atlas Network will host a Global Policy Perspectives event featuring Andriy Shpakov, Executive Director of EasyBusiness, one of Atlas Network's partner organization in Ukraine. Andriy will provide insights about the future of Ukraine and its importance for all of Europe. He will also focus his remarks on the positive role that can be played by civil society organizations such as EasyBusiness. His organization has focused on making incremental reforms to liberate the Ukrainian economy from the shackles of government control and corruption. Recently, the World Bank reported that Ukraine had moved up 36 positions in its Doing Business index from its 2014 ranking. Join us to learn more about the role of EasyBusiness in the improved climate for enterprise.

Andriy Shpakov has a background in finance and business analysis. During the last three years, he has advised the Ukrainian government on how to develop a deregulation strategy and improve Ukraine’s position in the World Bank's Doing Business ranking. Shpakov is now Executive Director at EasyBusiness, a Ukrainian think tank with a mission to create a better environment for business operation and economic growth.
