Articles of Mine Referenced in this Newsletter - Here is my piece, “Pessimistic about Politics? There’s a Better Way to Change the World”, that appeared in RealClearPolitics in December. That same month, I wrote in The Hill about Javier Milei, "“Javier Milei’s Rise in Argentina Carries a Valuable Lesson for Americans.”
Winning in Bulgaria and The Philippines and Nebraska - As I mention in the newsletter, you will be receiving regular video updates on ACTUAL INCREASES IN FREEDOM that flow from your support as a member of our $1000+ Atlas Club. Here's a link to a sample episode and - if you're not an Atlas Club member - a link to where you can remedy that right now!
Freedom Worldwide - In my discussion of the start to President Milei's tenure in Argentina, I mentioned the Freedom Worldwide webinar series that we've launched, featuring our own Dr. Tom G. Palmer. Here is the first episode discussing Milei with our Argentine colleagues and the sign-up form to attend the next webinar, on China and Taiwan, when it happens live on March 28 at 12pm ET .
AMLO Says What? - Through the years, ignoring unfounded conspiracy theories about Atlas Network has seemed the wiser course of action (as responding might just give more oxygen to fringey conspiracy mongers), but the Mexican President's accusation that we are government-funded was a bridge too far. Here is our response! You might also like my colleague Adam Weinberg's excellent NY Post piece on what it's really like to work within a global conspiracy!
Messages to Davos Man - Here I want to link to President Milei's speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos. While he delivered the talk in his native Spanish, this version uses AI to provide an English translation in what sounds very much like his own voice. In this section, I also referenced this WSJ piece by Walter Russel Mead.
Outlook for 2024 - The Rasmussen survey I reference is found in this "Them Vs. Us" report by the Committee to Unleash Prosperity I dislike the name of the report a lot, because polarizing thinking along these lines blocks the progress we should all want to make. Still, the report illuminates that the root problem here is condescension among elites. I'll also plug Prof John Conchrane's book, The Fiscal Theory of the Price Level, upon which he based his talk at Alamos Alliance.
DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION - I'd love to be in conversation with you about how our "ideas industry" will be changing via the newly dawning tech era in front of us. Thomas Siebel's Digital Transformation was helpful in kickstarting some thinking in this direction.
Finally, if you've read to the bottom of this page, you are the type of person who values Atlas Network enough to donate generously to keep the momentum behind our efforts.
